These yummy chocolate plant based pancakes are superb for a weekend breakfast or if you just fancy something different during the week then this is a recipe for you. You don’t need eggs to create fluffy pancakes, check it yourself
Chocolate Plant Based Pancakes

- 190g self raising flour (I used gluten free)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp berries (I used frozen)
- 1.25 cup of plant based milk (or dairy)*
- 2 tbsp @sweetfreedomuk Banana choc
- 1.5 tbsp date nectar
Stir all the ingredients together and make nice smooth butter. *Add a bit more milk if needed but it shouldn’t be watery.
Then heat up 1 tsp of coconut oil and sure it’s hot before pouring the butter on a pan.
Then use your spoon and pour the butter on the pan, create a nice circle with your spoon.
Fry it and when you start seeing little holes appearing turn your pancakes and fry for 1-2 minutes on the other side.
Top it off with whatever you fancy and find at home.
