Garlic has number of healthy benefits. It contains manganese, vitamin C and B6. Also, the active compounds in garlic can reduce blood pressure, and it can improve your cholesterol levels, which may lower the risk of heart disease. I love garlic so much :).

  • 3-4 carrots
  • 3-4 celery sticks
  • 1 onion
  • 6 new potatoes
  • ½ broccoli
  • small tin of sweetcorn
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbs of miso paste
  • 2 tbsp of tamari sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 500-700 ml water
  1. Fill a big pan with the water.

  2. Start chopping the carrots, celery, onion, and new potatoes and add it all to the water.

  3. Then add a bit of flavour by adding the miso paste, tamari sauce, salt and pepper.

  4. Once the vegetable is soft, start adding the broccoli, frozen peas and sweetcorn. Add more of the salt, pepper, tamari and miso if required. When everything is cooked through, press the garlic in – (ensure that it goes as a last ingredient, as then the power of garlic stays within the soup). For a stronger taste, you can always press more garlic into the soup whilst it’s on your plate :).
